You're making way too strong an assumption. I have no sound-fu skill -- I just wanted my Audigy to be able to play MP3's. I don't care that much about sound quality and only use an Audigy because I also get a firewire port w/o costing another PCI slot. Other than testing and committing one more patch someone emailed me, I don't think I'll be doing any more emu10k1 commits.
