But I am having a hard time figuring out how Perl modules "should" get installed on a system. One can use perl -MCPAN -e shell to install modules right? One can install from source in /usr/local/src right? One can install perl p5-Bla-Bla-1.03 from the ports right? Which is the right way? I have learned in the past it is very good practice to stick with the system package management system if at all possible. It will save you in the future big time with dependancey problems. Hence my hesitation with moving forward by throwing anything at the problem.
