The following reply was made to PR ports/87984; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Timur I. Bakeyev" <timur@gnu.org> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, Vivek Khera <vivek@khera.org>, mnag@FreeBSD.org Cc: asa@agava.com, sem@FreeBSD.org, tobez@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/87984: samba registers phantom dependencies Date: Fri, 11 Nov 2005 15:55:09 +0100 Hi Vivek and all! It's nice to see you still in the BSD business ;) We looked into this problem thoroughly with Anton Berezin and it seems there is no connection with Samba3 port itself. That phantom dependencies come from print/cups-base port, as far as I can see. We tried to fix the problem with Anton by swapping the order of bsd.port.pre.mk and inclussion of common part, but as I don't have access to tinderbox, it's hard to see in my enviroment, that dependencies really get installed. So, something to check deeper... .include "${.CURDIR}/../../print/cups/Makefile.common" .include <bsd.port.pre.mk> .include "${FILESDIR}/manpages.mk" .include <bsd.port.post.mk> So, I'd recommed to look into the cups-base port first of all. With best regards, Timur Bakeyev.
