Re: ports/mail/ezmlm-idx/Makefile,v 1.10 (4.0-stable) <Finally> got this running on 4.0-release/MySQL-3.22.32 with the latest stable port. However it wasn't out of the box so here are my comments, sorry I don't know how to bundle these as patches or formal mods/suggestions: 1. Source libraries/includes needed for mysqlclient if only installed as binary package (used just 'make') - could the Makefile do this? (2. Use Makefile 1.10) 3. Do 'make -D WITH_MYSQL configure' - documentation / an INSTALL.FreeBSD4.0 would help 4. cd work/ezmlm-0.53 5. edit conf-sqlld and remove ' -lnsl' - patch needed - or am I missing some sys sources? (6. cd ../..; make install;) (7. cd /usr/local/bin;) 8. ln -s /usr/local/etc/ezmlmrc - because doing step 9. still looks in /usr/local/bin for config file - Makefile? (9. set up ~eztest as user and in MySQL and do ./ezmlm-test -p '[MySQL password for eztest]' Hope this isn't all wrong and is useful to someone. To newbie users: Don't forget to get your head round MySQL and qmail first (especially GRANT/REVOKE in MySQL.)
