Hi there I have a problem with mode settings in XF86Config. I am flying blind with my monitor which is probed as VGA but appears as SVGA in SuperProbe. My card is as WD/Paradise 90C33. Working on the assumption that a basic VGA16 setting should at least work. I get the following lines outputted after %startx [snip] . . (--)VGA16: Mode "640x480" needs hsync freq of 31.70 kHz.Deleted (--)VGA16: Removing "640x480" from list of valid modes. . . [snip] Fatal server error: no valid modes found. Can someone tell me why this might be so. I cant find any error listings to point me in the direction of what is causing this??? I have looked in man, HOWTOs, xfree86.org, videomodes.doc, README.* as well as The Complete FreeBSD to no avail. Any help appreciated.
