What's the difference between -1 and -2 etc in the incrimental level. Can dump be used to back up parts of a file system as opposed to the entire file system? Is there a way to configure dump to compress its output? I noticed on a small file system the dump file was larger than the entire contents of the filesystem. TIA Peter Brezny SysAdmin Services Inc.
