One factor which has kept me from more aggressively testing -stable during
the megalomergemania is that I'm running CAM and pretty much only build
the world shortly after CAM snapshots. 

During future release cycles perhaps a CAM snapshot could be cut at the
end of merging and a week left prior to the release tag for CAMmers to
make sure we're still in Kansas.   It almost worked out like that this
time...
