I'm trying to get a 3c509b card working in a FreeBSD machine. I'm missing something, understanding-wise. I get the following message at boot time: ep0: 3c5x9 at 0x300 in test mode. Erase pencil mark! There's no obvious way to turn off "test mode", and I can't for the life of me guess what the bit about erasing a pencil mark means... Can someone give me a quick pointer? Oh, this is with FreeBSD 2.0. -Bill
