The idea of getting app support via Linux emulation is a bad one; it
guarantees that native support for FreeBSD will be rare.

I'd rather see some folks (and, yes, I'd help, though I'm not qualified
to do it alone) build FreeBSD emulation for Linux. Then, app vendors could
make a business case for targeting FreeBSD.
