If you suspect it to be an alignment problem, it's easy to test.  Look for
the bus_dma_tag_create() calls -- all of them use PAGE_SIZE (4096+) or
ETHER_ALIGN (2).  Did you try changing the ETHER_ALIGNS to 8?
