i.e. infrastructure?

Hmm, just to get this straight in my head. I suppose we have three user
profiles:

        - people at work with APs
        - people at home with an AP
        - people at home using ad-hoc and a FreeBSD box to gateway the
          wireless to something else

It does seem that the default should be infrastructure mode.

Yup.
