Instead of wondering which mailing list to write to, start by wondering
which mailing list you should search.

In recent months we have had this discussion multiple times. Take a look
at the -questions archives. You'll find more thoughts on this than you
can shake a stick at.

The essence of those discussions was: they're not going to be removed
from the base install, and they're really easy to remove on your own.
