Hello.. we recently got a Exabyte EZ17 Changer and Mammoth2 tape
drive. We are trying to get the changer to work with amanda. However we
get errors when any attempt to change to the next slot is made.

any attempt to move gives the above error.

Trying to use amanda

# chio move slot 3 drive 0
chio: /dev/ch0: CHIOMOVE: Invalid argument

operator@hades [7:59pm] /usr/local/bin > amtape master show
amtape: scanning all 7 slots in tape-changer rack:
slot 7: date X label VOL3

hangs and gives this in dmesg output.

Any Ideas what we can try?? Anyone using the changer successfully?

We are running this on 2.2.8-Stable however, I get the same results on 4.2
stable with the 29160 adaptec controller.

Appreciated
