Mea culpa.  I didn't even notice the difference when I last replied to
this thread.  (My brain must have incorrectly equated ablative and
accusative).  I apparently introduced this error when re-typing Greg's
explanation of the derivation.  Sorry, and thanks to all for finding and
fixing. 

That'll teach me to cut and paste :-)
