hello there,

i have a CMI8330 ISA sound card (sound blaster compatible).

it worked fine under FreeBSD 4.3-STABLE (playing .mp3s and .wavs
to /dev/dsp).

kernconf:
device          pcm

dmesg:
pcm0: <CMI8330> at port 0x530-0x537,0x388-0x38f irq 11 drq 0 on isa0

after cvsuping to FreeBSD 4.4-RC and recompiling the kerenel,
(no changes made to kernel config file) i got the following result,
tryng to play my files:

$ madplay fooboo.mp3
MPEG Audio Decoder 0.13.0 (beta) - Copyright (C) 2000-2001 Robert Leslie
...
(bright white) pcm0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead
output: write: Invalid argument
$

$ play trtr.wav
play: /dev/dsp: Invalid argument
$

$ dmesg |grep CMI
pcm0: <CMI8330> at port 0x530-0x537,0x388-0x38f irq 11 drq 0 on isa0
$

so what should i do now? buy a new sound card?
