I received my Radeon 9250 and applied your patch.  No problems there.
But, for some reason glxinfo is reporting: "direct rendering: No".
Looking through /var/log/Xorg.0.log see I'm getting some drmOpenDevice
errors and another earlier message to the tune of "(WW) RADEON: No
matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found".
