Hi, I have a machine running with FreeBSD-2.0-RELEASE which has been running fine as a mail server and is now giving the following errors when I try to boot. wd0a: hard error hard error reading fsbn 52522 of 52512-52527 (wd0 bnn 52522; cn 52 tn 1 sn) any suggestions ?? The machine would not boot - just kept on displaying this message repeatedly. I have it running now with an older kernel but things like vi wont work just seg fault and dump core. The machine is a 486dx266 with a 1GB IDE Western digital drive. Uptime prior to this problem was 83 days. thanks, Carey ========================================================================= Carey Nairn ! email : Carey.Nairn@its.utas.edu.au Networks and Communications ! phone : (002) 20 7419 Information Technology Services ! fax : (002) 20 7898 University of Tasmania. ! =========================================================================
