I was trying to describe the recent additions to bsd.port.mk, and this
file (GUIDELINES) just keeps growing and growing and growing.

I think it is getting way too long and winded, we need to split it up
into (e.g.) a "porting A-B-C" section for simple basics that work for
90% of the ports and "welcome to the port-hackers guild" section for
more complicated stuff that will make any port look like an apple pie.

However, I just don't have the time to finish it now so I'm going to
punt for now, hopefully someone with a fresh brain and a better
command of English can take a look. I don't want to confuse users, so
I won't commit my unfinished work, you can get it from my home
directory on freefall or "ftp://forgery.cs.berkeley.edu/pub/GUIDELINES.gz".

Thanks....

Satoshi
