In what respect is the floppy bad?  A bad sector that's not remapped?
A broken filesystem?

If you can somehow make it repeatable to me, i can look whether it's a
problem with the floppy disk driver.  Sorry, i'm not knowledgable
about VFS'es in general, of DOS filesystems at all.
