FreeBSD has a port of Open Look. After you install FreeBSD and X11, go to /usr/ports/x11/xview-* and type make install in each directory. This is a source distribution. They are also distributed as a package. You can install that by typing /stand/sysinstall and then selecting the config menu and adding packages xview3.2-*. This is a binary distribution. Motif, on the other hand, is not a free product. There are two options: 1) Use LessTif, which is free but not currently complete. They are at http://www.lesstif.org. 2) Buy someone's Motif. From what I understand, you can get a relatively inexpensive package from XiGraphics (http://www.xigraphics.com). >From there you can also purchase an accelerated X server for $99 which is supposed to be a nice improvement over XFree86. -John -------------------- John Duncan, Sophomore, University of Pittsburgh.
