I've talked with them quite a few times (about twice a year) since I
have friends who do or used to work for them.  It's more a question of
market share for them, and I think the compiler quality issue is just
a red herring.  The last discussion I had with them indicated that
they thought it a nice idea but not really compatible with their
markets.
