I can confirm for 3.4-RELEASE

[ root@venus:/ ] # ls -ld /win98
drwxrwxr-x 1 root wheel 16384 Jan 1 1980 /win98
[ root@venus:/ ] # umount /win98
[ root@venus:/ ] # ls -ld /win98
drwxrwxr-x 1 root wheel 512 Jan 19 1999 /win98

ntfs has some problems too:

[ root@venus:/ ] # ls -ld /winnt
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 0 Apr 22 2009 /winnt
[ root@venus:/ ] # umount /winnt
[ root@venus:/ ] # ls -ld /winnt
drwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 512 Aug 23 11:51 /winnt

It does not seem to affect datestamps on files within the filesystems
though. Just the mountpoints.
