Hi Again,

I have already taken all the steps provided on your web page.
But my problem is in orainst.

orainst - shell script.
orainst.cm - Linux executable run by the above shell script.
unix.stp - Script read in by the above and processes
Unix commands, defined in the 'unix.stp' spawned out of
orainst.cm.
I get following error msg.

x An operating system error occurred while trying to spawn 'sed -e x

  x 's/^/| Ok: /' < /home/oracle/orainst/holdfile.log x

  x >>/home/oracle/orainst/os.log' while redirecting output to ''. (No x

x such file or directory.) Would you like to retry the operation, x

x ignore the error, or allow the error to be processed by the x

  x Installer? x

  x x

x (Help...) (Shell) (Cancel) (Process) (Retry) x

has anyone faced this kind of problem ?.

It's best that you start all over using the directions from
http://www.scc.nl/~marcel
This will give you a clean running Oracle system.
