Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, Heikki Suonsivu 
had to walk into mine and say:

You have to compile and _install_ the new rpcgen and rebuild
/usr/include/rpcsvc before you build librpcsvc. The header files
are also built with rpcgen; if you build them both with the same
version, they'll be in sync.
