Good eveing all!
I've searched though the archives, deja, and google and nothing that quite
fit of fixed the problem. This happens when trying
to install. just after it newfs's, says that 'all file system information
written successfully' and then panics, and tries to resync until it reboots.
system config

Giga-byte GA-7zx main board
Duron 750
256M pc133 ram
WD 30gig ide drive.

this happens when the partitions are written

500M /
500M /var
512M swap
28.5 gigs /usr

but when i do the automatic settings, it dies with a
'write failure on transfer! (wrote -1 bytes of 240640 bytes)

any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Ian
