The developer that did the commit is mature enough to make the decision. 
That others perhaps do not agree doesn't reflect the maturity of the 
developer / maintainer.

That is not your call. If a maintainer wants to add all options he can 
consider, he is free to do so. Though others might not appreciate that 
as much as he does. It can be discussed ofcourse, but to a certain extend.

Also note that the time wasted by these interesting discussions is time 
better spend on different areas (y'all go close a PR or two orso ;-)).
