While I'm gladly  joining the others with thanks to  Thomas, I'd like to
point out  that my kern/19551 was  filed 5 months ago.  It contained the
debug kernel and two vmcore images to  ease the job of debugging. Yet it
took SO long for it to be fixed :( -- it lasted through three RELEASES.

I'm going to try this out now myself. Thanks,
