Depends what the application and budget is. For a low cost hardware RAID
solution take a look at www.3ware.com


Here are some rawio benchmarks I did a while back on a DAC960, MegaRAID =

This is all off the same hardware (PIII 500, 256M).  I didnt have a =
chance
to run the twed on rawio as I had to put this particular machine into
production
