You need to edit the "HaltCmd" in kdmrc (/usr/local/share/config/kdm) in=20
section [Shutdown].
Since kde3.2 this section doesn't exist by default so you have to add these=
=20
too lines to /usr/local/share/config/kdm/kdmrc:

[Shutdown]
HaltCmd=3D/sbin/shutdown -p now
