Ah ok.  I've got a loaner Inspiron 5000 whilst my i5000e is being
repaired, but for some reason -current is randomly handing on it,
whereas it didn't hang on the i5000e.  I thought that it was maybe
an ACPI problem, but it still occurs if I boot on a non ACPI/non
APM kernel too.
