Compiling and installing RELENG_4_5 last night fixed it. I wish I could report what the problem actually was, but I haven't had a chance to go digging and compare RELENG_4 to RELENG_4_5. That's definitely where the problem is though. The two systems that I recompiled last night are running like a charm, while the other three are still hiccuping along, to be fixed today.
