I am having problems running gdb on FreeBSD 2.0.5. I use to be able
to compile say "ping.c" using gcc -ggdb name to a.out and then load the
symbol file and step through it using FreeBSD 2.0. Under 2.0.5 the
program loads with no errors and I insert and break at main but when
I run to "dest" the program instantly returns to bash prompt.

Do I have to recompile the kernel or can I use other options under gcc.

Any help would be appreciated.
