There are a number of possibilities.  The most common database servers used
on FreeBSD are probably:

Postgres	- http://www.postgresql.org/
MiniSQL		- http://www.hughes.com.au/
MySQL		- http://www.tcx.se/

They are all in the ports.  I suggest you see:
  http://www.freebsd.org/ports/databases.html
... you might find even more pointers here.

Also, note that the licensing agreements for the above-mentioned databses
differ substantially.
