Thanks for the tip... I did go to the pages and check them out... I could
probably manage to get these patches installed, but it looks rather
difficult at my current level of knowledge (definite newbie with unbalanced
knowledge (I.E. strong in some areas, weak as a pussycat in others)), and I
noticed a couple slightly ominous sounding bugs mentioned.  I think I can
wait until October 15, when 3.0 is scheduled to be released (who knows,
VFAT support might even be in 2.2.7, which is scheduled for release in
about a week.  At this point I could care less about FAT32 support.  But
long file names under VFAT I could really use).
