I have no settings. Just enter ip address of my FBSD
box and click on telnet button them open button.

Mind posting your PuTTy settings here for us to dissect? I use PuTTy
from some win32 boxes to log onto my servers. I can probably give you a
hand.

Also, what release of FreeBSD do you have installed?
