 Fixing old machines will break themselves :-) so we have an infinite
loop...

 Maybe there should be implemented a versioning system for the termcap
entries :) (now wouldn't that be cool).

 Well, I spotted the UPDATING meister, it's imp (sorry, no complete name);
CC'ed to him (hint: the problem described in the PR is manifesting _only_
when connecting from a "older" machine's console to a "new" system).
