A simple way to enable three button mouse emulation is to put mouse_flags=-3 in /etc/rc.conf. I cannot find this documented anywhere. Section 4.5 of the faq mentions this feature and refers to the moused man page, where we are told to pass -3 to moused. Similar treatment in the handbook. Section 2.10.10. Only a seasoned veteran would think to look in /etc/defaults/rc.conf. This trick is especially useful to laptop users and should be in the handbook.
