questions@freebsd.org isn't a good place to ask functional questions about
XFree86 -- hey, we just use it.  :-)  Try 'questions@xfree86.org'.

Have you tried the S3 accelerated server?  Have you tried the beta version
(available from ftp.xfree86.org)?  I had to move to the beta series when
ATI changed the Mach64 version and the 3.1.2S release didn't support it.  

This isn't really a question of whether FreeBSD supports it; it's whether
XFree86 supports it.
