There is a PowerPC simulator as part of GDB 5.0.  People seem to
discredit simulators.... don't forget both the Alpha and IA-64 ports were
done using simulators.  At this point the only person I know of that
*has* to have hardware are those working on the loader and/or device
drivers (which we aren't to that point yet).
