Hi All,

which Intel based ethernet card using the em(4) or igb(4) driver is the best
choice for FreeBSD 8.x or current today? The requirements are stable and very
high network throughput as a gigabit router with one quadcore Xeon, HP
DL360G6 and PCI-Express slots. Only two interfaces will be used but also
including vlan functionality and most likely polling.

Any strong recommendations or warning about specific cards or chipsets?

Thanks,

Joerg
