Sorry for the simple question, but I'm new to ethernets... root:~# dhclient ed0 ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCDIFADDR): Can't assign requested address dhclient: New IP Address(ed0): 10.100.20.163 dhclient: New Subnet Mask (ed0): 255.255.254.0 dhclient: New Broadcast Address(ed0): 10.100.21.255 dhclient: New Routers: 10.100.20.1 I read the manpage on netintro and dhclient, but I couldn't figure it out. Is the ifconfig message an error?
