Nearly all applications "work" without a window manager for some
reduced expection of "work."  Generally, the problems are restricted
to window placement and cursor differeces due to inherited cursors
from the decoration windows of X Windows.  It is certainly possible to
made these minor issues disappear with minimal effort.
