To have full duplex you might want to use the mss device. If you only care about audio, I would suggest you to use my sound driver (see http://www.iet.unipi.it/~luigi/FreeBSD.html) which is now in -current and has much better support for PnP and WSS cards. Also could you send me the output of "pnpinfo" ?
