I'm no expert on this, having only done one cvsup - the other day

This could be taken a few ways - i can think of three:
- removing intermediary files /usr/obj
- removing source files that were in 3.2 but no longer needed in 4.2
- removing configuration files that are no longer used

The handbook says what to do with the /usr/obj files (18.4.5 && 18.4.13.3)

As far as i could tell when doing the cvsup, i could see files being deleted
when i was going from 4.2R to 4.2S. I guess that those source files no
longer needed were deleted.

As for the configuration files - i can only guess that the filenames of
these files dont change very often, and are thus unlikely to be not needed.
I'm sure /usr/src/UPDATING would say something if there were some config
files that could be deleted. Or perhaps mergemaster takes care of this.

To others on the list - if this is wrong please correct me - i was just
guessing.
