The following reply was made to PR i386/46553; it has been noted by GNATS. From: andrew morton <drewish@katherinehouse.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, hubert@tournier.org Cc: Subject: Re: i386/46553: System freezes after awakening from hibernation Date: Mon, 03 Feb 2003 15:08:39 -0800 I get a very similar problem with my IBM A21e and FreeBSD 5.0-RELEASE. Closing the lid puts it into standby (instead of just turning off the LCD backlighting). When I open the lid the behavior seems to vary based on the length of time it's closed. If it's a short time (15-30 seconds) I get the same error. If it's a minute or two I open it up and find it counting down until an automatic reboot. I've yet to read the message as it reboots shortly thereafter. dmesg doesn't seem to show any of that output either. I'll post more as soon as I can present more specifics. andrew To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
