Not in a way that is usable, in too many cases.  It works for simple
things, but for complicated and/or quickly changing things, it's way too
complicated and resource hungry (mostly bandwidth) because the protocol
is way too chatty.

(And yes, I have real-world/commercial experience doing this, for my
prior and present companies, over wireless links.)
