    Yah, or if you don't want to create yet another environment variable
    you can stick those in the /etc/default/cdrecord file (note: the
    directory is 'default' not 'defaults').

    Remember that at least for the Yamaha you can set the speed to 6 if
    you are burning CD-R's.  4 is the max for CD-RW's.
