Ah Ha! So that's why my Compaq server found it's Thunder-thingy NIC even though
it was not a configurable option. I really stumbled over that (4.1.1). To even
get going I had to disable all NICs (they all had conflict errors) so I assumed
networking would be stillborn. Imagine my surprise when later the installer
knew about my NIC.

I would have to say that this is confusing.
