Tim, please give us some facts, for exmaple your /etc/hosts file, /etc/host.conf, /etc/resolv.conf, the part of /etc/rc.conf that configures your network-card. Once again: 1. check the device-configuration of your network card in /etc/rc.conf (IP and netmask) 2. setup your /etc/hosts file. You need a hosts-file on every machine in your net, ALSO on the NT-box. The hosts-file on the NT-box is similiar to the hosts-file on your BSD-box. 3. change /etc/host.conf that "bind" comes AFTER "hosts" 4. if you have need for an extern nameserver, setup /etc/resolv.conf with an nameserver-entry pointing to a running and functional nameserver. 5. That's it. At 20:19 28.02.98 -0800, you wrote: >Greg wrote: >I also get console messages: fbsdbox /kernel : arplookup 10.0.0.2 >failed: host is not on local network. This is a 10 base 2 strung Looks like the TCP/IP-config of your NT-box is misconfigured.
