>Description:
I have tried to install FreeBSD 10 (full release not RC) on VirtualBox,
first with a i386 DVD from www.distrowatch.com, then the same DVD from
www.freebsd.org.
In both cases, i always get this error:

After the installer has finished I am asked to set a root password after
I have done so I get the message:
passwd: pam_chauthtok(): error in service module

The screen then immediately jumps to a ncurses window asking if I want to
try and reinstall or abort, I have now tried this multiple times with
different keyboard layouts (norwegian iso, and standard us), and I always
get the same error.

When i boot the live CD and manually try to set passwd, I get this error:

passwd: in pam_sm_chauthtok(): pw_tmp() failed
passwd: pam_chauthtok(): error in service module
